Hayday by feeble little horse begins brilliantly with “Worth It (Intro)”, where raw acoustic guitar sounds lead into an unexpected explosion of highly distorted electric guitars. Throughout the album, lyrics range from silly to wise, such as in “Termites”, when the phrase “termites in the earth, they’re looking up my skirt” is followed by “i suck on old compliments, to see if there’s still a taste”. Feeble Little Horse isn’t afraid to experiment, as songs on the album range from seventeen seconds to three minutes and mix tender vocals with classic rock sounds. The band’s unusual combination of sounds results in an album entertaining, enlightened, and reassuring.
